Victor reached out to us right before the new year about his proposal plan in Oaxaca City, which we were naturally elated about. Together, we came up with the perfect secret plan and it worked like a charm, Stephanie had no idea. Perched above the city on the roof of El Parador Alcala hotel, Stephanie and Victor wandered up and asked “tourist” Roque to take a picture of them, at which point Victor dropped to his knee and bam! … it happened. As Stephanie stood there taking it all in, still in shock and quickly putting all the pieces together, Victor accidentally dropped the ring. Luckily it didn’t go far and was relatively quickly recovered, making for a rather unique moment. We then spent an hour walking around the city and making pictures, talking and getting to know one another. These two travelers are something special together, smart and witty, beautiful and kind. In a true full circle move, they decided to get married in Oaxaca, and we are overjoyed to be photographing their wedding next year. Congratulations to Steph and Victor!
