Marcus and R’el | Oaxaca Wedding

R’el and Marcus were married over the weekend in what I can only describe as a most stunning celebration of love, a vision of sublime beauty, an experience curated with such heart and intention. Photographing the wedding of fellow photographers is always a feeling, distinct in nature, an experience of sorts, if you know you know and we do know. Moving through time to the days we all recall, when viral uncertainty was alive and well with variable frequency, it was winter 2021 when we first connected and I was instantly struck by the presence of them, the presence of these two immensely talented artists, wanders in the truest sense, sincere souls and inspiring beings. And it was there that we were fortunate to enter their world, and lucky to have them become a part of ours because Saturday, well it was magic. Witnessing R’el and Marcus together is to see the essence of love, woven together over many moons, built upon a foundation of strong connection with glimpses of shared history throughout. Exchanging their vows was an experience of its own, words heavy with meaning, light with bliss, moving hearts, grounding each guest in the present moment, there with them feeling it all, waves of joy moving through and by, it was beautiful, their wedding was beautiful. To R’el and Marcus, thank you. Thank you for entrusting us to tell the story of your union, for your excitement to see your wedding day through our eyes, what a gift it is for us and an honor even more.
