I recently documented Henrietta and Diego’s stunning wedding, a mix of British and Oaxacan cultures – from the subtle details to the perfect contrast of the bride and groom’s traditional attire with the dramatic Oaxacan backdrop, everything was so beautifully blended. The day began at Casa Oaxaca, where the bride and her father were scooped up by a vintage jaguar that landed them right in front of the magnificent Santo Domingo de Guzman church. In true Oaxacan style, the ceremony was followed by a lively calenda right outside of the church as bystanders looked on taking photos, many even joining in the celebration, it was a sight to be seen. Before making our way to the reception, we stopped by La Cava los Danzantes to make a few intimate images, big thanks to them for inviting us in and for the celebratory vinito! The fiesta was held at Casa Chata, one of my favorite locations. I enjoyed every moment of Henrietta and Diego’s wedding, they are kind and generous human beings, really wonderful people and madly in love. I am excited to share some of my favorite images from their big day, congrats to the beautiful newlyweds and cheers to many more amazing adventures as a married couple!
